Beech Fork Lake is a 720-acre reservoir located in Wayne County and Cabell County, just south of Huntington, West Virginia.
Beech Fork Lake is 13 miles long and has 31 miles of shoreline. Beech Fork has a 10 HP limit on the motors that can be operated on the lake, making for quiet, relaxing, and safer boating.
Beech Fork Lake is surrounded by woods; there are no houses or other development on the lake, so you can enjoy the peacefulness of nature and go hiking, mountain biking, bird-watching, or hunting in season. You can see whitetail deer, small mammals, and sometimes a black bear, as well as many varieties of birds including wild turkey, duck, geese, osprey and bald eagles. Great fishing opportunities abound, for largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, saugeye, and hybrid striped bass. There is a public swimming beach, and at the upper end of the lake is the Beech Fork State Park campground.
Truly a great place to get away from it all!
The marina has a boat rental fleet with several types of boats including Bennington Deluxe pontoons boats, Tracker bass boats, fishing boats, canoes and kayaks. Boats can be rented for up to 2 hours, up to 4 hours and up to 8 hours. See the Rental Boats page for more information.
Bring a picnic lunch, your swimsuits, fishing rods, and be ready for a fun day on the water. You will go home with a smile on your face!
